My main focus is Variable Kingsnakes (Lampropeltis mexicana thayeri). They are also known as Nuevo Leon Kingsnakes, Thayer's Kingsnakes, or just thayeri for short.
I have carefully assembled a very nice group from trusted and pure bloodlines. I also have endeavored to keep the gene pool of my collection as diverse as possible. I really like aberrant thayeri, but any nice Variable King tends to turn my head.
I am also a big fan of Japanese Rats (Elaphe climacaphora). I find them to be inquisitive, beautiful, and to have very docile and accepting personalities. I think they are under-appreciated in our hobby.
Being a science teacher, I am fascinated by genetics. Snakes have afforded me the opportunity to explore the intricacies of heredity. I truly care about each one of my animals. They all have names, and are treated as members of our family.
