Hi, I'm Billie and welcome to my herp addiction. And yes, it is an addiction.

I started out with awesome green iguana named Monster almost 20 years ago and never stopped from there. I now have over 30 reptiles and amphibians that keep me very busy. And I love it!! (still love iguanas!).

I am heavily involved in conservation and believe STRONGLY in captive breeding of ANY pet animal.

Come Find me on Facebook!

I am a Member and current secretary of the Oregon Herpetological Society. Actively involved in educational displays throughtout Lane County. I mostly rescue my reptiles, but also dabble in breeding a few snakes and lizards.

Have a wide variety of herps, from lizards and snakes to frogs and toads..

I enjoy building large vivariums and then adding a frog or caudata to the home..

Toadally fascinated by all herps But my favorite are the Amphibians..(frogs, toads, salamanders, etc) Love the SMILE of the salamander; many of these guys have a very "dog-like" personalities.

Favorite snakes - garters and Mexicana Kings.

Cornsnakes, 3-toed box turtles

On the personal side, I am also an avid X(A/N)TH reader; a fantasy world created by author, Piers Anthony. Also collect Dragons and Greek myths such as, the Greek gods, Centaurs, Nagas, Harpies, etc.

Billie!  I saw your post on kingsnake about the sweating egg and I wrote a big response to it but then the site kept crapping out on me!  I hope you get this message.  I will try to email it to you.  SWEATING IS BAD!  I talked with the curator of reptiles at the Desert Museum when I had my eggs that hatched and he said that sweating is worse than almost anything else.  It means the humidity is too high and you need to bring it down because the egg could burst or die.  Sorry to be an alarmist!  I hope you get this figured out ASAP.  Wipe the lid of the deli cup every day to remove the moisture.  Open up the incubator.  Also ideal temps for incubating the eggs are supposed to be 80-85 (mine that hatched were 82-84) but temp is not even as vital as stopping the sweating.  GOOD LUCK and keep me posted!  By the way I started a Yahoo group for Schneider's skinks, but guess how many people are in it?  1-me!
