There's not much to me, I have a great job, I go to school, I have a wonderful husband, and many herp "children"--and a couple of cats and a dog...
My life revolves around keeping my animals happy, gardening, hockey, and school, which hopefully I will finish and get my degree from eventually..

Snakes, lizards, frogs, you name it--I want to know all about them! I do have a great fascination of newts and salamanders...especially California newts. I love to go field herping anywhere I can; so anyone around Sacramento, I would be happy to be a part of a group field trip to see what we can find!

Reading, Hockey (playing and watching) Traditional martial arts (Shotokan karate, mostly), anything dealing with zoos, gardening, Primate studies, anthropology ( I love to learn about different cultures!)...and I am a Sacramento history geek...yeah, sorta lame, but I cant help it, its my home town!

If I had unlimited space, I would definitely take in red tegus, Blue tree monitors, more brazilian rainbow boas, , Crested geckos, Tokay geckos, and I would still take in any reptiles and amphibs. who needed a home...I'm a sucker like that.
More newts and salamanders too....I would take those in now even with the limited space!

I am a zookeeper at the Sacramento Zoo. I am one of the lead keepers of the reptile house--this does not mean I am an expert--I have SOOOO much to learn! When I am not in the reptile area,(i.e. when people call in sick or there's an emergency) I work with the carnivores, including lions, tigers, (no bears, sorry) jaguars, snow leopards, a hyena, and the ever-fierce red pandas; and some others as well.

Movies: Good fantasy movies; LOTR, Labyrinth, Harry Potter. Action/adventures, Horror, Comedies (loved Anchorman!)
Music: Wow....Everything---ok, maybe not country. I am a goofy fan of the Hair-metal bands from the 80's, but I also like old school rap and hip-hop; and I also get into good dramatic classical pieces.
If it has a good groove, I'll most likely be into it!
