Considering breeding feeder rats

So, it's not that frozen rats are that expensive, but making the trip back and forth to the pet store weekly wastes more gas than it's worth. I've looking into buying frozen in bulk online and its not exactly affordable right now as much as I would like to. I've owned pet rats in the past, so I'm thinking of making a CO2 chamber, breaking out my old rat cage and getting to it.
