Here is his story. This is why we do what we do. On November 29, 2011 we received a call from a local animal shelter. They had a "huge monitor" that needed to be picked up. We rushed down to the shelter there we saw a 4 1/2 foot black throat monitor. This monitor was about 20 LBS under weight. My friends at Bayou Boas recently took in an albino Burmese python as a rescue. This animal has not been fed well and was dehydrated. They've fed her a few times and have worked with her a little bit, but she could use some help to be ready for adoption. Because I work with my snakes alone, I can't take a Burmese python as a permanent pet, but I thought that working with this one for a little while could be a fun challenge.
