Well we made it back from Kansas and my holiday with my father / step mother / step sisters and family. We went last Thursday and returned on Sunday. By Sunday night I was really sort of wondering if I was getting sick. I'd had the sniffles for a few days and a scratchy throat. By Monday there was absoluetly no doubt that I was down. Temp's ran from 101-102.8 at it's highest. Chest really tight, throat really sore, headache, severe body aches. That lasted Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Then on Thursday I woke with no fever but I was coughing NON-STOP. Barking coughs at were dry and painful to me and painful for my family to listen too. After at totally sleepless night I finally broke down to go to the clinic but on Christmas Eve. nothing was open and we ended up at the E.R. Where we really lucked out. I figured it would be full to the gills and it was empty. There I got a big fat shot of prednisone in the rear, a vicodin to decrease coughs and scripts for tylenol #3, tesselon pearls and prednisone. Last night was a horror. Not only was the tylenol number three not cutting it but I was taking 2 tabs rather than the one tab prescribed and it still wasn't cutting it. I was ready to go to the darn E.R. again this morning. I felt like at any moment I was going to be coughing and blood was going to start spurting out. It felt like I had actually torn something. Horrible night. I made Jake go and get me mucinex dm. The stuff that was infrequently coming up was Really Really yucky and we will leave it at that. FInally, I am feeling some relief and I have spent my entire day coughing up the really yucky stuff. I think my broncial tubes must have been totally covered in it. However, tonight I think the fever is back alittle bit and when I cough my throat and chest feel like there on fire. I hope none of you have had this. I'm not sure it's h1n1 but I can tell you that it is really not any fun.
