I'm 27 years old, and I live in Round Lake Illinois just north of Chicago. After having a troubled past, I have finally been on the right path. Although this journey is hard and tiresome, I refuse to give up and be the person I was years before now. My found love for reptiles and the goal of starting my own business will not allow me to give up.
Over time, I have found a new interest! And I thank reptilegeeks as a whole for providing the necessary resources to learn and research a wide variety of herpetological interests! Now dont get me wrong I love lizards especially Bearded Dragons! But now snakes have found their way into my heart and future plans! Now most of my free time is dedicated to learning about Amazon Tree Boas(Corallus hortulanus)! Focusing mainly on captive husbandry, and breeding! Although learning about their natural habitat and history is an awesome experience. A lot of the things that I am learning about A.T.B.'s I have to credit toboakingdom and his 20+yrs. experience in keeping this beautiful species!
Keeping reptiles has taught me to have patience with not only them but with all things in life. I can only hope to bring more people to our trade and hobby, to teach people that reptiles deserve the same humane treatment as any other animal.
I am a member of the National Organization of Marijuana Laws(NORML)! There are a lot of things out there that are way more harmful than marijuana that are legal. Like tobacco and alcohol, and lets not forget all of the prescription drugs that are supposed to be helpful but end up making more people sick or dead than marijuana has or ever will! Tell me the last time you heard of some one dieing or becoming very ill from smoking marijuana!Let me also state that I do not condone the use of marijuana by minors or people that are just to stupid for their own good!!! Feel free to listen to NORML's daily audio stash below and hear our side. They talk to evry one politicians, scientist and doctors!
I would like to learn about reptile illnesses and how to cure and treat them. I also plan on breeding Amazon tree Boa's(Corallus hortulanus), Corn Snakes, Bearded Dragons and possibly others. Some other things in my plan include the breeding of: Lobster roaches, Silk worms, Horned worms, Super worms, and other kinds of feeder roaches.
And the thing that I want to do the most is to run a reptile rescue. Right now I am putting my focus towards learning as much as I can about A.T.B's my new found love in the snake world!!

Konig is doing great... But as of Monday I am officaly homeless with no where to go.. and no work! I'm painting a freinds house for $800 and will be done by Friday. The time has finnaly come. Kankakee did not work out so I came back up here and no luck. So I was going to send you a message and see if you can hold Konig down for me for a while. If you can that would be great! Not sure for how long but if it is for a long while I will pay the $75 that you were origanally selling him for before you gave him to me. My corn snake can go to my ex-girlfreind most likely since it is both of ours, as for the bearded dragon I have no idea, he was the first reptile that I got and the one that made me fall in love with reptiles, the one that gave me a new life and a new dream to start my own buisness. Not to sure what I'm even going to do my self. Thinking about taking my money and just going to Canada! Do you need a pass port to go there? I really do not want to lose my animals! If I have to get rid of them for good I'm not sure what I will do at all. So just in case it was good knowing you. You have been one of the greatest friends that I have ever had. Even know we have never chilled, you have been there when I needed you most, when there was no one else to confide in. Thank you!!!
Hey Jeff, of course I'll hold Konig and take great care of him for ya. And NO, I will not accept money. I gave him to you as a gift, and that's the way it stays.
Thanks brother, this brought tears to my eyes...seriously!

Welcome to Rg Chris! Nice to see you here! You got to get some pics up of you herping for those Saugas! You know the Brookfield Zoo has a breeding and re-introduction program, sice they are now so rare in Illinois.
Haha, yeah I'm working on it. So much going on lately. I'll get some sauga pics up soon! I intended to go to the brookfield zoo when I was in chicago recently, but didn't get the opportunity. I'm hoping to head out with Rob Carmichael soon and see if we can find a couple :-)
