I am a Father, Husband and an Ecology Geek. I have been picking up and wondering about creepy crawlies for 35 years now. It all started in a great backyard in Oceano, Ca where my Grandma promoted my curiosity. She would take me into the university textbook store at Cal Poly and let me pick out College Entomology Key books and buy them for me (age 9). I am involved in many projects in my area concerning burrowing owl colonies, barn owl nesting trees and the ever pleasant Bullfrog invasion into Red-Legged Frog and Tiger Salamander ponds.

Frogs mainly, but I certainly don't restrict myself. Right now I am getting my 8 year old daughter involved in the hobby and she is taking to it quickly. She volunteered at The Reptile Store here in Gilroy. She was the youngest volunteer and did a great job there.
