hello! my name is Kin and my husband is Steve. Our last name is Sober, so we arent alcoholics. :) We started Sober Serpents in 2005 and specialize in corns, cal-kings, leopard geckos, and thayeri(soon). We reside in Central VA. I am originally from Wrightsville Beach, NC and go there as often as i can.... When i was real little i used to catch hermit crabs, fiddler crabs, anoles, and green snakes in my yard. I've had snakes since about 1992 when my brother got Gertrude(who is now around 7 years old). Of course like all kids i wanted what my little brother had so i saved up and got my own snake from a pet shop. I named her Sattang Okssusu which means Candy Corn in Korean (i got her after a trip to south Korea). She eventually died and i inherited Gertrude in 2001 when my brother stopped caring for her. Before all of that, in preschool i had a spotted turtle, box turtles and some toads. The spotted turtle ran away when i was in high school(lived outside in a pond on the deck), the box turtles either died or were stolen, and the toads were let go eventually..... Steve was never allowed to keep reptiles, but liked them from afar. His mother is still terrified of snakes, but is beginning to like geckos and frogs. My husband and I have a managerie of critters from reptiles, cats, dogs, and birds. And if your wondering why i have so many corns... i love them.... actually i love them so much some of my friends call me Kathy JR (after Kathy Love) hehehe.
