Thank you for the video, I always wanted to know.  I don't think I would do it on my larger snakes.  However, I would like to know the real sex of my ball pythons.

I look at the size snake I'm probing to determine what size probe I'll use. It can't be to little or to big so I use my judgement. Hope that makes sense and helps.

I thought this video was great, but I agree with Forked Tung. My first question after watching the vid was "how do i know what size probe to use?"  Thanks for making it look so easy!

yes you can probe a male, the probe will go into the vent much deeper than it will with a female
